ok I was looking for an old computer just for windows 2000. it seems ive found one minus its hard drive. thats not a problem because I have a spare hard drive collecting dust. but ive just discovered this PC originally ran vista, that sounds good in the sense that it must quite a reasonable spec for the 30 quid iam paying for it lol. but one thing is bothering me................................... * +

could it be too modern for windows 2000? because ive heard stories that some old operating systems wont even install on relatively modern equipment or would that just be connected with windows 95 or windows 98? * +

Windows 2000 is a Windows NT system . It will run better on a drive formatted to NTFS . You will also have to find all the drivers for Windows 2000 though . * +

as far as I know I got drivers for windows xp with my motherboard and its socket 1155, chances are the pc you got will be able to run xp, and correct me if I'm wrong but xp drivers shud work with windows 2000 as I use windows 2000 drivers for my dvr running xp * +
