I cannot open my files on my PC or Flash Drive because all files turn to shortcut and size 1kb. Why? and how can I clean this virus without deleting my files? Pls help! * +

type the full path to the so called shortcut in the run box and see does the original file runs. * +

Thanks 4 advice!Bt what is .ink because when I delete it the file plays! e.g file name : Track01.mp3.ink size 1kb Shortcut only when I delete .ink the file can play, Why? * +

.lnk is an extension like .mp3 is. extension is few letters after the last dot in filename that tell the system what the file is,what it should do with it,which application to run... you had your file track01.mp3 and the virus added .lnk on the file which made it track01.mp3.lnk and so the extension was changed. lnk is an extension for a shortcut in windows. * +
