maybe the vents being slightly closed or blocked causing the airflow to increase inside thus causing a rise in temp which in turn causes the lappy to initiate a self protection mechanism and shut itself down * +

First question i got is which version of win7 u using? 32bit or 64bit? Two things could help if its an over heating issue. Trying getting a cooling mat/pad or place something like a book under the laptop thus raising it off the surface to prevent air from being block. And i got a question for everyone. Why hp sucks at cooling? I know they own compaq too but my compaq v5000 never runs hot even if i got it on whole day doing a bunch a stuff? * +
