about 6 years ago I read an article about a techie that cost his country 68 million dollars for formatting C: by accident - I cant remeber what country it was - could be greenland lol but ja - i tried googling it but could not find it... would love to have it in my scr*pbook collection... * +

yeah,dvds suck. cds suck even worse. the only thing we can relay on are memory cards and flash drives which have a far longer lifespan. but the best thing you could do probably,allthough i never really tried it,is back all up on one removable hard drive of 500GB or so. or two,or ten if you can afford. then stack them in the drawer like cassetes lol * +

what i don't really get is that i have dvds old a year or two with dvd movies bought from various shops and none of them ever had a crc fail even after a very looong time. i've tried so many dvd brands. then whats the secret???? *
