That extra 4 pin are substitution of the 4pin ATX supply socket seperately located near the CPU fan.... So if u have 44 pin PSU, u dont need that seperate 4pin socket to be connected to PSU.... Its two 12volt lines for CPU.... * +

First of all in my above post, 44 is 24 and 40 is 20...lol....... Obviously it will work.... Place the 20 pin socket at one end of the 24pin... If it doesnt fit then insert it at the other end... It should be fitted nicely coz thats how its made.... * +

Anyways, I think u should wash the mobo well with some liquid n re-assemble all the lines and sockets from the begining... * +

right tried my 450w psu and still same problem so its not the psu what else could it be? *
