very unstable...i have re installed windows for about 4times in space of a month. Problem with the mainsite is that they only have xp/vista drivers for my laptop and not for win7 (32bit). ANy suggestions? * +

You should be fine using the vista drivers, sounds to me you need a pc tech to look at your laptop. shouldn't have this many problems or need to reinstall windows 4 times in a month. I'd suggest it's more than a driver problem. Whats the problem that makes you say windows is unstable? * +

after looking in the web, the 4280 seems to come with only 1gb mem installed, unless you had more fitted Win7 isn't going to run properly. So, either put XP on it or install more memory. Considering the spec, 2gig or more would be ok to run win7, but honestly you're gonna be better off running XP on it, which is most likely the reason only XP and Vista drivers are available. *
