ok,now ur confusing me?? yes,the atx leads are seperate from the main power supply leads,but they come as a whole from the psu? so lots of wires from the psu that then split into the main power supply and the atx lead. Two of the atx leads are semi round on one edge but the semi round edges dnt line up with the semi round edges on the female side,althoug the plug does go in....? * +

is there than anyway to check on the board itself where which colour wire of the atx should go? and thnx again for the responses :-) * +

Go to the manufacturers website and download the manual for the motherboard . And power supplies are fairly cheap , get one made for the motherboard before you smoke that chipset . * +

the plug you need should have black and yellow wires going to it * +

The ATX is the 4pin molex that has black and yellow wires on it. Thats it. If its doesn't fit its not the ATX 12v. *
