no basically im using mainly a top end vaio lappy most of the time.an to answer ur quest im hearing both mp3s through speakers, even when I use the master volume within virtualDJ the track which is playing out is still playing in the headphones.ive gone onto config, it gives 4 choices on which to use.1 no headphones, another with speaker an headphones, 3 using another soundcard an cant rem.... * +

the 4th.basically fellas from when I learnt on how to mix using turntables I used to hear the sound on the speaker, treble the best for picking up the speed then using headphones to hear an adjust the speed of track mixing in.with virtualDJ the whole sound of both come out in headphones with crossfader set to track playin, plus it still plays in headphones.ive messed n messed about but 2 no avail * +

logic pro 9 is a Mac application only. You need a usb audio interface with 4 line outs and a headphone out. Line outs 1 and 2 go to your PA system. Line outs 3 and 4 can be left unconnected. Essential your main mix from the software goes to line outs 1,2 and your headphone monitor mix can go to line outs 3,4. Now its just a case of setting the routing of what outputs you want to hear in the headphones. * +

basicaly ur probably using onboard sound from ur mobo for ur output channel. then the usb sound card is used to supply the sound for the headphones it will have a little 3.5mm jack plug on the back. yes u are correct u will be able to set these up in the options u wer talking about. google usb sound card u will see what they look like i got mine for 5 * +
