I almost chopped it up with a hammer (I did that with a couple of phones lol). Lucky for me I did not. I fixed it by placing it in bubble wrap then into a freezer for 5 hours. BAM the bi_tch worked first time. Yeah I know it sounds crazy but it worked lol... * +

the only real way of trying to recover the drive is to remove it from the case and dissconect it from the interface... then mount it in the pc as an internal drive... its likley that your drive needed more power than the usb could give so caused it to drain and fail. if your lucky its just a power feed issue on the interface for the external case. if not then theres little you can do. * +

as you have used the freezer method your drive will brick withing a week or so., so get all your stuff off it and rma it. *
