to change a cracked laptop screen by yourself? I went to lenovo agent and they qoute me 500 quids lol, other small time computer street shops charged me about 300quid the least.. I found my screen on ebay costing about 150quid.. So i decided to change it myself.. Any precaution tips for me? I've heard somewhere that i gotta be wary of those ribbon cables?

Just take your time and don't force anything 
get it right first time. Long as you sit down with plenty of time to do it and a bunch of the right tools you should be ok * +

It's easy... As Spartan says, take your time. Worst mistake will be using a screwdriver that isn't a perfect fit, do NOT try to undo them with a smaller screwdriver than you need. * +
