when I go into performance information and tools on my acer windows 7 laptop and try to run rate this computer my laptop just switches off, powers down anyone no why? it does it every time but never happens while using anything else,. its not really a big deal but iam just curious as to why. could it be some software compatibility issue where the program is conflicting with windows power setting * +

it doesnt shut down windows the laptop just simply switches off as though it were a power cut any ideas? * +

normaly that happens if theres a bad driver. go into system, device manager and check out your drivers. it can also be a missing driver. especialy the inf chipset driver. * +

When bloatware comes to mind , Acer is right at the top of the list .
