hi i'm about to install microsoft xp sp3 should i download it direct or save it to folder then maybe disable my firewall and anti virus and download in safe mode ?????????? am scared after i downloded it nd run it my pc will be knackered * +

it allways fails upond download via automatic updates. so iv'e downloaded it manually from microsoft. and saved it to folder my question is should i install it in safe mode?? and maybe disable my firewall and antivirus can you give me advice please. * +

you did good,use orbit downloader for your downloads if you have an unreliable connection,it can resume interrupted downloads and can integrate in firefox. you can keep your broken download for a month or a year and as long as it exists on the server and the server supports resuming,you can continue just with one click. avoid installers downloading stuff from the internet as they are a pain in the * +
