Overrated? Yes i think so lol.. Take Alienware M17x and HP dvt6 in comparison.. Alienware cost about 3000quid lol whereas HP is like 700? What's the big difference between gaming laptop and any other ordinary pc? Yes, aside from the graphic cards and processors lol * +

Whats the difference between a slow laptop not very good for games and a really fast alienware? Well...umm...the speed? 
the faster and bigger a laptop gets then the heavier it will be. Gaming laptops are the fastest, and thus usually the heaviest for their size range. Thats cos they have better batteries, heavy duty copper cooling plates and fins, heatsinks and fans etc * +
