Considering installing latest ubuntu on a modern laptop. Just a simple question, where do you get the drivers from for your laptop? Ie: for the graphics card, wi-fi etc? * +

U will find that most of the drivers u need are all ready on the ubuntu cd, and if in doubt try the ubuntu forums bangs of info there sum1 will know how and were 2 get them from * +

Be careful with video drivers. If you get a nvidia gpu with optimus, you will have problems with 3d acceleration. Hopefully things will improve this summer when Optimus Prime on GSOC kicks off * +
