actualy the x980 still golds the crow over the 2600k in certianin scenearios the 2600k is nowhere to be seen next to the 6 core. just not gaming. so if you have 1 then 5 years will be about the time you will need to chnge it... ivy may well be a whole new design but there thinking it will be 20 percent over the sandy even with tri gate. they will also be conservativley clocked at 3.6ghz meaning * +

people can still be astounded by the fact that they can run at 5.5 oc... really the clocks for the 2600k should be 4.2 as stock but there deliberatly held back so agames manufacturers dont use that speed as standard and tech themselves out the market. * +

atm minimum requirments are floating around 2.4ghz on a core 2 duo they should really be 2.4 on a core 2 quad and by the end of the year 3.0 of a core 2 quad but if they do that the minimum requirments will be outside most pc gamers budgets as most of them unlike a few guys on here just meet minimum spec always. * +

im not kidding. in the last 4 months on toms 70 percent of the gamers ask the same question, why wont it run , i have a 2.2 x6 and a gts240 or i have a e6700 and a gtx 570... not only that the amount of bad advice on there is way worse than on here. on here there are about 6 guys that will say noooo dont get the biggest card for your under powered cpu. over there you get guys telling people to * +

get a gtx 590 for the core 2 duo 3.0 and upgrade the cpu in 6-12 months when ivy comes out... pro may not have as many so called experts but they do a much better job than 50 percent of the so called experts over at toms. *
