i am using timeBeginPeriod(1); and timeEndPeriod(1); in combination with Sleep(1); and it keeps my cpu at aprox 0 o/o usage while the framerate is about exactly what i needed.we'll see whether there'll be future side effects though. and still i'm not satisfied with windows at all. hope i will never need 1ms precision,that would be a hell to write * +
