Hey, we are in process of upgrading our small office server from R6000 pc using xp pro x64 to R20 k pc probably using win server. The reason for our upgrade is to increase user access limitations. And to standardise our network. Everybody is upgrading to office 2007 and same operating system that supports domains. Well now we have received 4 new pc's that run win 7 pro x64bit. What will the implication be for our network interoperability. Besides for having to find x64 compatible software for t * +

ok I can't remember how my original paragraph went, but yes. I want to know if there is any advantages of using x64 bit operating systems above the normal x86 32 bit operating systems? * +

No it's of no advant if your work includes only file transferring , word excel stuffs. Exchanging on the network. * +

I don't know what our new server will be like. But the latest workstations were windows 7 pro 64bit. I'm hoping we won't have too much problems with backwards compatability. *
