i wanna get a pc laptop and i was looking around and noticed this. It comes in a range of bright colours like flourecent green or orange which i thought looked awesome. The spec is ok for what i want to do with it. Any body else got one of these laptops. How do you find it. * +

Get it if ya happy with the spec, I've got an E series. More than happy with the build quality. * +

If you're buying direct from Sony, now's the best time for ''value,'' they'll be refreshing the product line soon - better spec, but you'll be paying a premium. * +

Just read some reviews, negatives - C series screens are quite reflective (only a problem if you're viewing from an angle) and battery life is three and a half hours max... So, if you can live with that, get it... Only negative based on my own experience of Vaios is the speakers are very quiet. Positives - gorgeous looks, great build quality, excellent chiclet style keyboard... You can get different coloured skins too. * +

wow, with all you re makin, why would you ever concider buyin a laptop? my dream is to make an o/s and you even make your hardware. if i were you, with that potencial,i d extend into making a bit more powerfull machines, revolucionary technologies with lots of small steps.why satisfy with 256 pix when you can have 1024* or up? but yeah,i admire the old technologies anyways, like nes, sprites and pixels * +

well theres different levels of computing for different purposes. the homemade computer with 256 x 128 pixel screen is about developing a small computer for a small application such as a midi keyboard user interface or a control system for a machine or such * +

where as a laptop is ideal for running pc based software compilers, assemblers and the many different control programs for USB based hardware programmers for devices such as EPROM's and Microcontrollers, ASIC's and PLD's. * +
