I'm having some trouble with this issue. I need to split up a 2mb pdf document into smaller sizes of up to 300kb each. It seems there are tons of online services and programs to use for this, but I'm using pdfsam. It looks pretty decent. My problem is that when I use the 'split at this size' option, it doesn't produce files that are 300kb each, but all around and above 300kb, some even at 800 kb

Not even trying to split at 100kb does much difference. Something strange I noticed is that the total output files come to about 16mb 
There arent even pictures in the document, just text mainly. I even ticked the box next to compress output files. Is the output document pdf version of any importance? How do I get each file to up to 300kb? * +

the output should be roughly the desired size ...r u using version 2.2.1 coz it's working fine 4 me...perhaps try another file. * +

FML you're right. works fine when i used a different file. Looks like this copy is corrupt or something thanks. *
