Anyone use network attached storage? Just ordered a buffalo linkstation 1TB. It supports DLNA so you can connect compatible devices to stream media from it without the need to leave your PC on. You can run a bit torrent client on it too. Wanted one for ages. Oh and you can access your files from anywhere with a net connection. * +

i have a pentium 4 underclocked so it runs passive with 2 tb drives running ubuntu server in my loft were its nice and cool . if you have the spare parts laying around its a good use of old hardware * +

1tb for hd films isnt a lott of space to be honest . you would probrably fill it up quicker than you think . * +

I probably would run a server if I hadn't have given away all my old PC parts. I would need to buy a cheap 775 CPU and case to build another PC. I have loads of storage space on my desktop for older films, plus you can hook up an external USB device like an extenal HDD to the NAS to add space. * +

1TB for HD films is alot.. You can fit about 200 films in there.. An average movies pirate have less than 100 films anyway in their computer.. Why the need for bigger space, unless you are some aXXo twin brother lol * +
