well to keep it short i have a amd athlon 64 3200 on my pc and late ly is been overheating i bought a new heatsink apply new thermal paste and clean in and out but still overheats so i was thinking of purchasing a new cpu and found one at ebay for 8 dollars and the shipper is from china so my question is, is it possible to get a faulty cpu or something like that? * +

Sometimes those clips that hold the fan to the mobo can get broken really easily, so they don't hold down as tight as they should. And what plzgv said with ebay in general. * +

165 to170 degree but when i check bios it says 110 degree i use speedfan to check my temp * +
