How did you take some of the RAM heatsink off? If its glued you might have pulled a chip off the PCB. * +

I'm assuming you cleaned off the old thermal paste and reapllied new paste. * +

Went through it all, the ram has a heat sync on with a brush type tip, you can remove that with a hex key, it has a kind of seal under but it has minimul damage so all good * +

Checked the cpu and it had two bent pins but luckely not broken off so after a huge mission i managed to bend them back in place, they seem ok and my pc is fine now, the new ram makes a huuuuggggeeee dif with a higher voltage. I think thats why my old set pop, dont think overxloxking them did them any good and shorted 3gb but will put the ram back together when the new cooler arrives * +

You'll never pull an intel chip off the board, they all have viciously strong metal frame clamps * +

I personally blame the mb for the cr*ppy clip but with that the cpu created such a vacume one the cooler that i had to swist it around to get it off, will cpu be fine after the fix? Nit sure how the pins will affect the cpu now? *
