Vries. More volts, more heat = less lifespan on average. Ran on their stock speeds then they can last for decades * +

our work machines are running pentuim 3 cpu's and there never turned off i belive , proper workhorse * +

Yeah, maybe the newer chips are going to be more pr*ne to failure because of their increased TDP. However all the old stuff gives the impression it could run until the end of time. Hundred thousand work hours at the bare minimum i would imagine, if they have a small fan like my pentium did, that will fail first but easily fixable. Modern machines have more moving parts, esp higher end stuff * +
