i have 4 gigs of ram but even if im on the home screen with nothing going on in the back ground and nothin open its using 55 percent of the ram, that cant be right can it? * +

i don t know,go to system properties and see if windows recognises all your RAM,start task manager and see the memory usage for your processes and how much memory is taken by the o/s itself... * +

Use a program called smart ram you get it out of a program called advanced system care smart ram will free up your ram and show u how much is being used its a very good program everyone should use it * +

win 7 64 ulti should use 1.28gigs of ram if its using more for no reason then its either infected or a cr*ppy rip that has s**t working in the backround that doesnt need to be., * +
