Is there a cloud app offering lots of storage irrespective of the size of the files. I want to upload videos for embedding or streaming on a blog. More precise i'm looking for a youtube alternative. I got dropbox but need a prog that will save everything to the cloud and not take any space on my HD. Any apps that can help me out or is youtube the best i can get? * +

amazon cloud is something ive been looking at gives 5 gb of free storage . not sure about being able to embed vids though * +

i have looked at iDrive, spideroak, sugarsync, syncplicity, zumodrive, box.net, mimedia, fibercloud, smartbins and they all dont seem to be able to do what i want. Sugarsync comes close need to look into it. mimedia as well. Amazon dsnt even offer music streaming outside US so that is out. I guess i'll go with youtube if all else fails after all its highly social and easy to embed in blogs * +

i was just trying to find an alternative. was simply looking for something like sugarsync web archive feature where stuff is just backed up and not synced. a basic cloud storage. mimedia comes with 7GB and sugar sync with 5GB. more than enough. i'm just dreading running into issues with youtube. lemme find a post by some lady that has a mac on here and is an admin/mod. she had posted about youtube * +

kicking myself now... the feature i want happens to be in dropbox as well.. the web archival is dubbed as selective sync. i basically choose what i want to sync and what i dont want to sync will remain online but not on my pc if already uploaded in the first place. the post i was looking for was by dani2xll and it happens she just had an issue uploading when the mac froze thats it. nuthn hectic * +

as strange as this may sound... i actually thought of esnips while i was sleeping... I already have an account there and have uploaded all kinds of random files and i think they allow embedding as well. Also, I already signed up at yahoo and 1 out of the 3 files uploaded violates their TOC. * +
