same happened to me,done a format,clean install,all well. there was a power failiure when saving a state in pcsx2 and as a result the entire partition could not be read by windows.on the other hand kubuntu boot cd had no problems so i used it to backup the data. lost only about 200MB or so that could easily be recovered from dvd or internet.. *
