My pc randomly hangs, blue screen of death or just shuts down, at first I thought it was my ram so I started swopping out sticks but had no luck so I ran Memorytest Plus 4.10 and it came back with no errors. In the beginning my pc would just shut down and thought it was my power supply as it was a cheap 550w so got a new 750w power supply. But now the issue keeps occurring and actually getting wor * +

worst. I have an asus crosshair iv formula board which has light indicators if something is faulty but the memorGo! Seems find but every now and then it hangs on dram but I have had a few times where it hangs on the vga card indicator but after fiddling my pc would start again. Ie I would remove ram the replace it again. * +

I think you can rule out the PSU if you had the same problems with the old and new on. Do you not have an old gfx card you can use to rule out that being the problem? * +

So it hangs on the POST screen too.. does it shutdown ever while in the BIOS? Or are you sure it's not a problem with theOS and drivers? * +

Can you test your gfx card in a friends computer? If it works fine and it's not an OS related problem then I would definitely lean towards it being the mobo. * +
