Can't see him having a x64 os with 1gb ram it's kinda defeating the object, anyways with your specs I'd go for something like Xilisoft Programs the Movie Maker is ok it's basic b easy to use n the video converter also has a few video editing options * +

Maybe old premier pro would work as sc4 n down was not for x64 only with 1gb ram I'd go for like cs2, or ya can always invest in more memory , it's pretty cheap now * +
