Yeah it depends, if you have optical out then almost certainly. If not you need coax out or for analogue 6 channels the 3.5mm jacks. A lot of laptops often only have stereo out * +

My laptop is Realtek HD that supports upto 5.1 or 7.1 but its standered 3.5mm jack, currently got logitech 2.1 speakers which are good but not at high volume.. Soundcard on Pc i'm building is Creative X Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro 7.1 * +

The Review on the Home Cinema System is not good anyways so looks like i'll get the xTune 125w speakers they look nice n 35 reviews on eBuyer all 5stars n they say its better than Logitech X530 n X540 * +
