I happened to get a PC that although is old its slightly better than the one i had previously. I had an Athlon AMD XP 2000+. I now have a gigabyte GA-8S661FXM mobo with a pentium 4 2.8Ghz CPU. Anyone know where i can sound drivers and vga drivers? Also does it support SATA DVD writer coz i cant find a connecter for my DVD Writer. * +

there are two S-ATA connectors on board, so yes, it supports S-ATA DVD writter.. unless you already connected two S-ATA disks 
as for the drivers.. always download drivers from official sites.. * +

for the life of me i really cannot find the sata connectors. therez power for my sata dvd writer but no connector for that small red cable thatruns from dvd writer to mobo... the HD i have connected is IDE however there isnt even a second power cable to connet a slave IDE? I really cannot find a SATA connector on the mobo. I got my pc wide open right now but still...

the specs there sont mention anything about SATA 
Also how do i know what are the exact components of my pc.. the mobo has no prefix like F or anything after the GA-8S661FXM. Socket is shown as 478 by CPU Z. so basically i cannot connect my DVD writer?? * +
