I m having a problem in laptop connecting to internet. Ethernet cable n modem is fine, driver is installed, and lan card shows perfectly ok in device manager. But lan port light dont light up, and cant connect anyways. * +

It worked fine before, but all of a sudden it disconnected and didnt connect again. * +

Try with another cable. Maybe the crimping has worn out. * +

I hav used that cable with pc, and that worked fine. But its not working on laptop. So must be a problem in laptop. * +

is it a dial up connection ? If yes then you'll need a username and password . * +

ive had this problem with laptop before like it gets stuck in power save and dont wake up disable it im connections and reenable might work if your lucky * +

As i m talking about lan port, so its not dial up connection. By modem, i meant dsl modem. Is there anyway that lan port goes out of order, but its there in device manager, and in device status its shows, device is working properly, and everything seems ok? * +
