if i install linux in a virtual pc and install my usb modem driver in wine, will then my internet work using linux or is it just not worth it? becuse i installed linux on my lappy but usb modem wont work becus its detected as pendrive. thx for your help please *

if ur usb modem has only win driver vist manufctr website chck linux drivers...if u want 2 connect frm virtual pc its gna do de same thng unless if de host conects 2 net n u share conecxion wit virtual pc.in de past i used 2 use virtual box n wht i noticed is tht v box if it detects tht de host has got i-net cncxion it conects 2 i-net automaticaly *

i got it al working installing linux in virtual box and every thing seems to work so far. only in ubuntu internet seems a bit slow *
