Crisis is over. But I was uploading several videos all under 1gb to YouTube via my macbook pro and it locked up my whole system making it run slower than a turtle down to the point that I could not use my laptop to do anything else. Is this normal or is it 'Houston, we have a problem?' I don't want such a thing to happen in the future. Is there some way to put a limit on how much resources one piece * +

of software can Hogg? It left me with about 8 hours of not being able to use laptop, ok it was overnight but I still could not get access to my other programs nor open new windows and at the end of it YouTube gave me an error, failed to upload on all the files. So why the heck was it grabbing and hogging all my resources. * +

uploading should only hog your connection not all your resources. i dont know anthing about mac os but there should be some sort of task manager if you can get it open to see what programes are using up ur resources when this happens again * +

Yes it was connection resources it was hogging because I could not open new windows or tabs but in addition I could not open other applications such as iphoto etc. So I guess somehow locking-up connections resources has some effect on the multi-tasking does it not? * +
