Maybe the stick is fked itself is it goodbrand or elcheapo ,play.com wer knocking some cheap 32gb sticks out and ever1 was kinda errors n stuff * +

its not 'my trick' it'sa simple procedure to properly format any pen drive.... if this doesnt work.. pen drive is fked up for sure... *
