my desktop pc has given me the blue screen of death with a message that says unmountable_boot_volume. Is it dustbin time? It's a fujitsu siemens running XP pro, service pk 3. I don't have a XP disc but i can borrow one if needed...Help! * +

Hmm . That's a weird one . It could be caused by your HDD going bad though . Blame it on cosmic rays , if you wish . * +

But it is hard to tell for sure how bad it might be . hopefully , the MFT is not corrupt , and you might be able to slave the HDD and recover most of your data . *
