Does anyone know what program i can use to edit partition table or manually edit the values of the hard drive i.e cylinders, heads etc... using test disk doesnt write the changes somehow and even if i change the drives parameters in bios and they get saved it keeps reverting back to 536MB instead of 10 gigs. drive is being shown in device manager and disc management but not in explorer. * +

i couldn't format it. only showing as a basic disk in disk management and wrong size shown too. every app was pickng up 536MB. partition table was altered somehow and i couldnt set the exact drive parameters in bios coz they'd change again. But i sorted out everything and all is well now thanks. One has to take matters in their own hands sometimes * +
