Recently, I've been noticing that whenever I shut down my PC, there are times when it hangs. Sometimes I hit shut down, leave, only to return later to see it still trying to shut down, can anyone elp? * +

check your event logs in controlpannel/admintools/eventviewer/application or system. it should be listed at the next reboot as an error... * +

or try typing shutdown -s -f -t 30 in the runbox and see if it shuts down properly. -f forces all applications to terminate so if this works,some of your applications are not terminating,experiment with your startup entries and also see is there anything unknown running. *
