..but replace the path i given for the actual path to the hidden object. and replace slashes with backslashes. i planned to post this way earlier but the network had problems.but they're right,if you have malware,this is far from solving your issues still,thought it would be nice to add as a quick way to regain access to your files.. * +

and add /S /D after the command and i think something like Q:/* would work as a path and it would wipe clean all the hidden attributes on all files on the drive you select (replace Q with your drive letter and put instead of the path above) ... if i remmember right,attrib supports wildcards,haven't used it for a long time but i think this should work. * +

just not to be confusing,here: attrib -H -S yourdriveletter:/(backslash,not slash)* /(slash,not backslash)S /(also slash)D... this is rediculous.. hope someone adds a backslash support to tech forums,it would make life so much easier. .... attrib -H -S Q:/* /S /D (make appropriate changes) *
