while y'all are rolling on your carpeted floors in laughter i'm in dire straights. its now only showing in disc management and nowhere in explorer in windows 7. what apps are good for restoring or repairing partitions? i had tried booting into puppy linux and that didn't work either. * +

i wouldn't do a quick format yet,i remmember a boot disk that reads files and restores from RAW partitions,dead drives... i think UBCD4WIN can also do that * +

will try it. problem is its only shown as a basic disk in disc management and i havent even seen the option to format it. maybe with 3rd party tools *
