my mouse seems to be freezing quite often.i end up having to restart my pc only to have it happen again. i get a popup message saying one of the usb devices attached to your pc has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognise it... * +

i have a usb optical mouse. ive tried other mouses, same problem. ive tried attaching the mouse in the front and ive tried the back as well, no difference * +

do u really think the problem lies within the mouse? coz ive tried other mouses as well. and ive had this pc for about 6 months now, and this problem just occurred recently * +

what else do you have plugged in via USB? someone i know had a prob a while ago, something on USB was drawing too much power and causing problems, try unplugging everything else from usb but the mouse. * +
