Hi pepz.i hve an IDE hardrive,bt i wana add a sata hardrive 2it. D pc piks it which indicates in the Bios bt under My computer, d drive isn't indicated. Wt am i doing wrng,pls hlp... * +

Go to bios setup and change the Primary/Secondary SATA to AUTO... * +

There isn't primary/secondary sata options,jz IDE MASTER 0, IDE SLAVE 0 etc. * +

I dn nw removed d sata hdd n added an IDE hdd instead. D jumpers r master n cable select,is cable select slave drive?,nway it still doesnt wana pik d drive up,even d bios doesnt pik it up...pls hlp * +

First set the jumpers of your HDD's... Set the IDE as MASTER and SATA as SLAVE... Then start up your pc and check whether it appeared in my computer or not... If still no avail then go to Controll panel, Add or remove hardware... Search for a new hardware connected... It should detect your HDD.... * +

if you r using windows goto control panel / administration tool's / and look for disk management utility / in that see if you can view your sata hard dirt. Just format it from their * +
