suddenly, my post screen has started scrolling very slowly and my laptop sometimes hangs on this screen and keeps restarting. bios update didnt cure it. any ideas? * +

Does the power on self test complete? What does it say on that last screen right before it hangs? * +

sometimes the post dosnt even start. the computer just keeps re=starting b4 post, but if it gets thruogh the post, which is very slow, then it starts ok * +

ive not installed or deleted anything prior to this problem, apart from deleting a load of music files and defraggin * +
