Hey guys, DVDs have resolutions of just 720x576 pixels. And if I play it on a full HD PC i.e. 1080x1020, will the picture get stretched and look blurry or it'll look fine? * +

it will play at that res unless you stretch it * +

Does that mean, there's no point in buying a laptop with full HD resolution and not having Blu Ray player. Because, if I watch a movie on DVD in full screen, it won't look good. * +

Do you mean to buy a separate BluRay player? * +

hd screens are on most laptops now . if you dont intend to buy bluray disks or want to burn them off dont get a laptop with one built in * +

Hey, I'm confused. See, if I buy a Dell XPS 15 with full HD resolution and not having BluRay player but just a DVD player inbuilt and if I played a DVD through the inbuilt DVD player on full screen, how will it look? Blurry or fine? * +

well if its a widescreen resolution it will look distorted and magnified . just leave the resolution as default and dont worry about every video having to be full screen * +
