I wanna buy a new laptop thats gonna last me a while, can multitask wiv ease and play the odd game or 3. I got my eye on the Acer Aspire Ethos lappy 15.6 inch but I prefer an 18 inch. Ive heard its predecessor the 5943 had a prob wiv overheating and broke up after a yr or so. Anyone have an idea on this newer model or am i wasting my time wiv this one? Any suggestions pls? * +

No, never bought one. Friends have, they buy them because they're cheap. Then they're surprised when they fall apart. The insides are held together with cobwebs. * +

This one's not cheap - supposed to be hi end - almost 800 pounds - and the specs look impressive. I'm just wondering if this model improves on the faults of its previous model. Anyone?? * +

800!?! Don't drop 800 quid on an Acer. Look at the Toshiba models
