I'm using nero to make VCD/DVD movie discs... But having problems with the video resolution and format........ 1) Everytime I select video files of VGA (640x480) res to write on disc with nero as VCD, it automatically lowers down the resolution to half of the original... But I want to write them in VGA...... * +

2) When I select video files(mpg/mpeg) with nero for VCD writing, after loading it pops up ''The video format is not right and nero will convert them before writing''... Now just wondering what is the native video format for nero to be written on VCD disc directly without the auto convert?.... Can any1 focus on it please.... * +

At first I thought the VCD discs have a limitation of resolution for playback.... But later I found some VCD's having VGA resolution videos and still playable in ordinary VCD players.... * +

Personally I wouldn't use Nero. I would use Winavi or something simillar to convert the videos to what I wanted and then just burn with Nero as a data disk. * +

There is a much better program for converting but I can't remember the name of it. It gives you very detailed and expert options. The scene groups use it when ripping videos. Or at least p2p ''scene'' * +

@newt... I've decent converters like format factory but the problem is, in which format I should convert them so that nero can make a VCD directly.... Anyways, if you burn them as data disc with nero, then how can they be played with CD/DVD players..... * +
