mines emachines e525 intel celeron 2.20GHz, 1gb ram running win7 home prem x64 smooth as a nut, are you using an higher os eg win7 ultimate ect, if so you will need a lot more ram * +

atom processor is lot slower than celeron I guess . try to get the latest version of vlc player It may be bug * +

win7 ult stil shudnt giv dat prob with 1gb caz that's d baseline required 2 run it...seems 2 b a video issue...check d manufacturer site an see if there's any vista drivers for ur machine...if so run it in compatibility mode n see wat happens * +
