powered up my computer for a quick game of unreal 3 and a loud pop came from my case , couldnt see what it was so stripped the computer checked everything and found a very small capacitor on the gpu had popped . just my luck * +

I had an excellent service from EVGA. I used the advance RMA service where they cross ship. I was expecting a refurb card back but got a brand new one, boxed and sealed took about a week from asking for an EMA to getting a new card * +

I also expressed my concerns on their forum about getting back a refurb card that might develop problems. I'm not sure if that influenced their decision to send me a new card but I know that the tech guys from EVGA regularly read the forums. * +

its unlikley they would sway a decision because you posted in the forums. they would have checked the card. if it looked like a propper fail, they would send you a new card as a curtisey. if it looked like you helped it fail they would refurb it. * +
