for a cheep pc to do basic stuff then yes it will do, but for more power hungry programs you will need a much more advanced machine * +

dont try playing games well moden ones anyway, or burning dvds etc, and get a low system resource hungry anti-virus 'avira or MSI' will do anything else will fry it * +

then again saying that, I had a temporary pc before this one with a p4 with xp professional sp3 x32bit, but it did have 1gig of ram, it was very smooth running but wouldnt run games, look to see if you can get some cheep ram for it then upgrade it at a later time * +
