Cybalink have a blue ray advisor download that tells you if your system is up to capable of playing blue ray disks. I downloaded it on my intel core2quad pc. It passed the cpu test but failed on my graphics card. Although iam not bothered cos I Dont plan to play blue ray on my pc anyway It was more curiousity than anything. * +

But just as a joke I downloaded it on my netbook and guess what? It passed the graphics system how crazy is that? But obviously it did fail the atom 1.6ghz cpu. Tosh nb100 with 1gb ram, 120gb hd, intel atom 1.6ghz. Intergrated graphics. * +

its just that your atom has a gfx adapter that can handle 720p hi def video, your desktop probably has an older gfx card that wont. the chances are it would still play em but may give inconsistant results. * +

Yes I Had a feeling it was down to the type of graphics rather than the actual power of the graphics. Seems the only explanation to me. * +
