I hope intel makes a extreme platform again. 28 lanes is not enough. 48 should be minimum. Could run faster nics, multi GPU and fill it up with fast drives. This AMD x870e has some special sauce tho as its got like two chipsets. * +

Decided im going to wait until intels next platform is out as i need more cores and pci e lanes and current intel isnt very good and threadripper is has an insane power draw and Am5 top chip is only 16 cores and the way the cache is only one die restricts the chips scheduling massivley . next gen intels top end chip is supposed to have 52 cores which is exactly what im looking for so for now ill stick with my current build * +

I was looking at the AMD used epyc platforms. smaller power draw and lots of lanes. not good for gaming, but as a AI rig it is a option. Has dual 10gig nics built in, 8 channel ram and lots of cores also. *
